Here are a few jpeg files of SCCA races in 1971/72 era. My dad, Glen Shepard, raced there in the 1960’s and 1970’s. I remember being at the last race when Ralph Miller was killed. My dad will most likely be attending this years gathering and I’m still trying to see if I can make it. I live in San Francisco and will have a long drive to get there.
These were all shot on a movie camera by my dad, Glen Shepard. These are screen grabs that i spruced up to be presentable pictures. Glen went there as a spectator in the early days and then became a racer in 1964/65 when he got his SCCA competition license.The last car he raced at Garnett was a 1967 E Production Alfa Romeo Duetto….at the last official Garnett race.
